History

Tool Centre was started by the late Jose Wolf in the early 1950's. Situated in the Benoni Industrial Sites, the original business was a bicycle shop run by Jose and a staff of three.

Jose, a fitter and turner by trade, realised the need for a reliable distributor to service the fast growing East Rand business community.He registered the company in 1963 which firmly established Tool Centre.

Jose believed passionately in developing long-term relationships between the company and it's customers and suppliers. He was an upstanding young businessman and his five basic principles have remained the company's philosphy since it's inception:

1. The customer is sold only what is required.
2. Deliveries are executed as quickly as possible.
3. Prices will always be fair.
4. Only quality goods will be sold.
5. If the customer needs it, Tool Centre will get it.
